Dr. Azar is a New York City-based clinician and proceduralist with a passion for healing and broad experience in healthcare delivery. 

After graduation from Drexel University School of Medicine and completing residency, he became a full-time emergency medicine clinician.  During this time Dr. Azar was medical director for emergency medical services for Bergen County New Jersey and was an attending physician at several hospitals in the NYC metro area.  He has served as Medical Director at various outpatient and inpatient settings and continues to be involved in all aspects of planning, execution and fiduciary duties relating to healthcare delivery logistics and business development.  

Among his nonclinical duties, Dr. Azar has served on the executive board of a startup health insurance company in NYC (Atlantis Health Plans) and as an expert witness in numerous litigation trials and is board certified in Legal Medicine in addition to Antiaging and regenerative medicine and board eligible in emergency medicine.  

Dr. Azar continues to deliver care to many patients who still count on him. He is also fellowship trained in functional medicine.  His past academic appointments include Paramedic training instructor in advanced life support at Montclair State College and Physician Assistant instructor and preceptor at Saint John's University College for allied health in Queens New York. He has published research in neuropharmacology and medical toxicology. Born and raised in New York City, Dr. is widowed.
