TeloPoint joins NYCEDC Founder Fellowship Program

"The Program Address Inequalities within the Startup Ecosystem by Supporting Tech Entrepreneurs from Historically Underrepresented Backgrounds to Raise VC Investments" - NYCEDC

In only its second year, the NYC Economic Development Corporation's Founder Fellowship Program kicked off on February 15th with partner organizations across the city. TeloPoint is proud to join 99 other teams as part of an energetic and diverse cohort, while contributing to the statistics of 69% including at least one female founder and around 80% being led by a person of color.

The founders are as diverse as the challenges that New York City faces, and the people we are working to serve. Our objectives of improving health equity by providing reliable access to quality care for all while employing clinical resources in the neighborhoods they live in and serve are aligned with NYCEDC's mandate to drive an inclusive economic recovery for the city.

“The Founder Fellowship advances our efforts to build a more inclusive tech ecosystem by providing access to capital and support to innovators from historically underrepresented backgrounds. I am thrilled to see this program expand to support even more entrepreneurs who will scale their projects to solve complex problems and benefit all New Yorkers.” - Deputy Mayor for Economic and Workforce Development Maria Torres-Springer

TeloPoint is participating in this exciting program through the VC firm Company Ventures' "Boost" program.

"Boost: a Founder Fellowship at Company Ventures supports historically underserved tech founders. The 4-month program helps founders grow their network of investors and advisors to build their venture-scalable businesses and prepare them for fundraising." - Company Ventures

Our participating team members attended the Boost kickoff event at the Company Ventures space in Manhattan, where we met with the other founders in the program and representatives from NYCEDC.

Our healthcare technology group, including Bunnii, Motivity Care, TeloPoint, and Truffle Health.

We're excited to make meaningful connections with new business partnerships, city government officials, venture capital, and the greater NYC community during this program and beyond.
